Every year the Acton Transport for London (TFL) Museum Depot opens its doors to the public for visitors to browse the contents. I've never been before, I didn't even know that it existed until I moved to West London, so had no idea what to expect. The depot is full of old exhibits, relics from TFL's past and more than a handful of anoraks. Visitors were free to explore the depot warehouses, discovering the content for yourself. Not being an actual museum, very few items were labelled which made you feel like a detective, or a TFL tomb raider. Even though I was made to queue for over half an hour for a two second tour of a steam train's engine room by a certain someone, it was a great day out, if a little expensive (£10 each!) and will definitely be looking out for future events.
